I Luv Live - My Review (10th March 2008)
Forgot to say that the dude was playing in the house band at the gig at Cargo last week. Dude, The Deacon and Pastor O were on point as usual. Let's get straight to the acts:
Mellow Baku - good, but in the words of Simon Cowell (that was more like a backing singer)
Claire Angel - nuts! She came out singing Valerie (yes Zutons/Amy) and actually tore the place down. She repped B-town to the fullest!!!!!
Skittles - over nutz! He talked about sticker collections and sega mega drive! nuff said!
Cassette Baby - good but took too long! How could they not have brought a lead? Guitarist was sick though, kinda overshadowed the vocalist (whi was good btw!)
Addictive - what can I say there were good, I have know Aisha for a long time, and it was about time she got some love although, I'm not sure that releasing an entire album of Baseline is sensible this is a passing phase - come on now baseline is just garage mark 2000. Good luck all the same.
Bashy was big! even though he allegedly rehearsed his testimony.....
I knocked Kano in the head as I walked out (sorry G)
FaithSFX - good as always! (Watch out For Chipmunk)
Taoi Cruz was good although it was annoying that they changed cymbals and whatever else just for 2 songs - YES 2 SONGS!!!!!!
Anyway, headache is coming........
